Announcement: Bamboo 7.1 Early Access Program (EAP) release

We’re preparing for our Bamboo 7.1 release, which will bring a number of breaking changes. To make sure our app vendors and customers who have written in-house apps are prepared for that release, we’re launching Bamboo 7.1 Early Access Program (EAP). This way app developers can update their apps in advance to ensure they will work with the public release of Bamboo 7.1.

Your feedback is of great value!

Release notes

Summary of changes

In this section we’re summing up changes we intend to make in Bamboo 7.1, so you can start thinking how it might impact your apps.

Lucene upgrade

Lucene version was upgraded from 4.6.0 to 7.7.3. Upgrade task for index recreation removes existing indexes and run background job for reindexing. Apps which use queries to index or manage own indexes should be checked for compatibility.

Ant dependency upgrade

Ant dependency was upgraded from 1.8.4 to 1.10.8. Apps which implement or use artifact handlers should be checked for compatibility.

Quartz-scheduler upgrade

In Bamboo 7.1 we’ve upgraded the org.quartz-scheduler library from version 2.1.7 to 2.3.2. As a result, certain Bamboo settings (cron expression) might stop working and you might have to reenter them manually.
